Welcome to Our Yadikya Golf Club

The Yadikya Golf Club is an informal club established over eleven years ago and has steadily grown in numbers and stature over the years. Currently over 40 golfers participate in this group, and at least twenty play each week. You can find the Yadikya's playing at the Altadena Golf Course every Saturday.

This web page provides an opportunity for the Yadikya's to share their successes with each other, and will allow the members to keep up to date on the weekly competitions that occur, along with each members standing as we move toward awarding the infamous Yadikya Cup at the end of each season on June 30.

This group of golfers has been known to informally plan outings to places such as Laughlin, Nevada for golf and family fun. They are going to Santa Anita Race Track as a group. They have parties together and they have enjoyed Super Bowl at Damon's Steak House together. The Yadikya's have supported charitable golf tournaments through their group participation and sometimes through donations. This site will allow members to know about coming events on the site calendar.

It is interesting to see how such an informal group can establish its own policies, practices, and group recognition without much of the turmoil that often occurs in other golfing clubs. If you ask any of the members, they will tell you that they are proud to call themselves, "YADIKYA" members.

We look forward to sharing your self description on this blog in the near future. Please send your own self censored comments to our CIO, Larry T. at larry.tash@gmail.com and you will see your self description up on our blog in the near future too.

Yadikya Members Continue to Support Those in Need

Yads continue to support charities that support our society and we help to make the world a little better place to live. Last weekend, approximately 13 of our club members supported a Make a Wish Foundation Charity at Robinson Ranch Valley Course. It was an incredibly beautiful day to play golf. The course was tough, but our members still found ways to come out on top. You will get a sense of our comarderie by viewing the picture below.

2011-2012 Season Begins With First Time Leader Larry T

The new season for the Yadikyas is now off and running. Following the first weekend of play, Larry T has taken the early club leadership. His 38 was an all time low score for nine holes and good enough to place him in first place after one week. Mike P was right there with him, also shooting a 38, but Mike does this fairly regularly so his handicap kept him behind Larry. There is a long season, so the field continues to be wide open.

We look forward to seeing our members out on Saturday mornings regularly. We hope to make some new friends during the season as well. We can once again to expect a lot of fun and conversations going on through out the year. We also will continue to find ways to benefit charities and people who need our assistance. We are a bunch of golfers, some of us identify ourselves as hackers, but more important we are good guys and friends.

If you are interested in learning more, come out to Altadena Golf Course on Saturday mornings and see what it means to be a Yadikya.

End of Year Recognition to Many Great Guys Who Sometimes Play Good Golf

After a full year of swinging, complaining, complaining, and swinging, the Yadikyas' held their annual end of the season party at Mi Casita Restaurant in Verdugo Hills. After stuffing ourselves with food and drink, it was time to award the prizes to those who stood out amongst the Yadikya golfers. Our first place winner was our CEO, Chuck T. He will have his name added to the improved upon infamous Yadikya Cup which will now spend the next season sitting prominently in the restaurant of the Altadena Golf Course. Along with recognition and choice of prizes, every member received a Yadikya gift. Available were carry bags, hats, visors, towels, and other related items.

A discussion began to consider franchising out our club brand to other golfers in other cities around the country. Our first sign of interest has come from Chicago, Illinois. We are also considering placing online a Yadikya Store to sell items that are all imprinted with the Yadikya logo for golfers to purchase from around the country and the world.

Our group continues to grow and thrive, so why not share it with others who wish to be Yadikyas but can't due to the fact that they are Geographically Undesireable. Anyone interested in learning more about the Yadikyas should read this website very carefully, so that you don't later get scared away.

We now look forward to our new season which began on July 2, 2011.

Yadikya's Do It for Charity

As has been the case for many years, the Yadikya's think not only about themselves, but also of those in need of our help. This month the Yadikya's have been well represented at several charity golf tournaments. Many Yads participated in the Knights of Columbus tournament held at San Dimas to help the KoC develop sufficient funds to help those less fortunate during the Christmas season. Also, the Hollywood High School tournament is being played this week at California Country Club to benefit the athletic program of the Hollywood High School.

Where the Yadikya's see a place that they can help, they will do what they can to provide support. Thanks to all of the Yadikya's that have helped themselves, their club, and others during the past golf season.

Yadikya 2010-22 Season Final Results

The Yadikya season finished on June 25, 2011 with the following results. Congratulations to everyone who participated and a special congratulations to our top ten performers this year. As you can see from the statistics, there is a great benefit to playing regularly.

Our end of year party will take place at Mi Casita in Verdugo Hills on July 2, 2011. At that time, not only will the Yadikya's celebrate with the awarding of the Yadikya Cup (the most highly coveted award in the world of golf) other less substantial trophies and prizes, but also great comraderie will be shared as always. Please plan to attend following our first round of the new season at Altadena Golf Course. Directions have been provided by our Secretary, Rich T, but if you have lost them, either attend the round of golf next Saturday morning or contact Rich or Chuck.

Group Golfer, California Offers

Yadikya golfers, who are not yet aware of the new Group Golfer opportunities online, may find this web site very interesting and worth visiting. Group Golfer has been working in Michigan for sometime to rave reviews. Now they are in the Southern California area, as well. Joining Group Goler is free and it is your choice whether to pay up front to play some really excellent courses. Every several days I am finding new options being made available.

I recently purchased two rounds of golf at Sterling Hills in Camarillo for $32 each, including golf cart and driving range. As a senior, I get a great rate there normally, it is $45, but this Group Golfer offer was even better. If I take a friend who is not a senior, I am saving my friend even more. (Of course a good friend will pay me back. I'll get back to you on that one.)

So, we are now sharing this web site with you, since Yadikya's are such great, generous, and fun golfers. Use it if you wish, but you should at least visit the site when you can. (Group Golfer)
