Yadikya Party

Our Head Dikya, aka Chuck T, and the executive committee dikyas, have decided that the 2010 end of the year party and awards lunch will be held on Saturday, July 10th at the Mi Casita Restaurant following our regular round of golf. Trophy, including the Yadikya Cup, and special recognition for the year will be announced and awarded.

This is a great restaurant because of the great food and because it gives us privacy for acting like ourselves without bothering the regular population of the East Valley. Lunch will be dutch treat from the restaurant menu.

The Hollywood High Golf Classic
When: Thursday, July 1st, 2010
Where: California Country Club
1509 Workman Mill Road
Whittier, CA 90601
Time: Shotgun Start, 1:00 p.m.
Purpose: Support for the Hollywood High School Athletic Fund
Registration Due Date: June 18, 2010
Cost: $130 per player, lots of prizes offered

Iraq Star Troops Cup
When: Monday, July 12, 2010
Where: Unknown by Webmaster at this time, will be added when clarified
Cost: $400 for a foursome, $100 for individuals
Giveaways: Breakfast, lunch, gift bag and competition awards

Increased Drink Prices at Altadena Golf Course

Starting Saturday May 29, 2010, due to raised prices at Altadena, the "free" drinks will incur a surcharge:
$1 for large or premium (sam Adams) beers
$2 for mixed drinks

Money goes into drink fund.

We have been coming up short and found that they raised prices. Instead of raising the $10 for everyone, only the drinkers will be taxed!

Chuck, the CEO, Gets Hole in One

April 24, 2010
Our CEO, Chuck, got his second hole-in-one this year. However, this was his first while playing with Yadikya. Yep, the hole-in-oner had to buy drinks for everyone. After the bill of over $300 was paid, Chuck did okay. Congratulations Chuck.

May 1, 2010
Many of the Yadikya members supported the Make A Wish Foundation with nice donations to the cause. Rick B actually hit his T-shot on Number 4 inside the circle and earned a bonus from the foundation. Once again many Yadikya members were not just playing golf, but helping others who are less fortunate.

May 8, 2010
The semi-final matches for the Yadikya Match Play tournament will be played. This year's winner will be honored on this web page later in the month of May. Good luck to all who are still in the running. Thanks Rick B for putting on this annual tournament.

June 2010
Many of the Yadikya members will be supporting the Knights of Columbus later in June. This charity golf tournament has been a memorable annual event that many of our members support. It is interesting to see how many of the raffle prizes are taken home by Yadikya members. This year the tournament will again be played at the San Dimas Golf Course. If you are interested in joining in on the fun and having the great steak meal following the tournament, contact Rich T on Saturday or by e-mail.
