Welcome to Our Yadikya Golf Club

The Yadikya Golf Club is an informal club established over eleven years ago and has steadily grown in numbers and stature over the years. Currently over 40 golfers participate in this group, and at least twenty play each week. You can find the Yadikya's playing at the Altadena Golf Course every Saturday.

This web page provides an opportunity for the Yadikya's to share their successes with each other, and will allow the members to keep up to date on the weekly competitions that occur, along with each members standing as we move toward awarding the infamous Yadikya Cup at the end of each season on June 30.

This group of golfers has been known to informally plan outings to places such as Laughlin, Nevada for golf and family fun. They are going to Santa Anita Race Track as a group. They have parties together and they have enjoyed Super Bowl at Damon's Steak House together. The Yadikya's have supported charitable golf tournaments through their group participation and sometimes through donations. This site will allow members to know about coming events on the site calendar.

It is interesting to see how such an informal group can establish its own policies, practices, and group recognition without much of the turmoil that often occurs in other golfing clubs. If you ask any of the members, they will tell you that they are proud to call themselves, "YADIKYA" members.

We look forward to sharing your self description on this blog in the near future. Please send your own self censored comments to our CIO, Larry T. at larry.tash@gmail.com and you will see your self description up on our blog in the near future too.

Latest in Yadikyah's Informal By-Laws

(As written by Rich Tellez to Yadikyah members on April 10, 2009)

* As you have seen our group is growing, and more golfers are
showing up on Saturdays, sometimes late. This means that it becoming more
difficult to schedule the order of play for our four-somes or five-somes.
when we do not know who is going to show up. Some players have been very
cordial and do not complain, while others have been very vocal about the
order of play. Let it be known that the board of directors, ( CEO, CFO
and soon to be the official CRO) want to be fair so, the board has
proposed the following:

1. All golfers must be at the first tee no later than 8:45 a.m.
If a player arrives late, he or she will placed with the final
Group and will go out last.

2. We will draw numbers for the order of play, starting with group
#2 as our CFO, John Shannon, and his group have to go out first to
record the scores as players come in. Those of you who object to
this see the CEO, Chuck Trudeau, Charter member and He will
file your objection in the correct "Yadikya" placement file.

3. Try as best possible to get your foursome together, and have a
representative place a ball in the drawing for order of play.

4. Our CEO or CFO will call the name of the game i.e. Stanford Shuffle,
red, white, blue, four-man scramble, etc. before play starts. Again,
for those of you who object, see Chuck Trudeau for appropriate
objection form & placement (see #2)

5. In the event we are playing from different tees, all players who
would like to compete for the "eagle" or "hole in one" contest must
hit from the white or blue tees whichever is in play that day.

6. The person who makes the eagle or the hole-in-one must provide
appropriate "refreshments" for members of the Yadikya golf
Association. Those who have more questions about this
see Mike Acosta, and he will give you more information.
